Distressed No More

This weekend will be a good one because I just checked my checking account and my tax refund is finally in there and I am so ready to go shopping. Of course I have to use some of it to pay back some good folks that helped me out a few months ago when my car broke down, but after that I have a long “wish list” made up and I’m ready to rock and roll.

I’ve found some great discount mephisto shoes that I can’t wait to order online as well as some awesome discount sperry topsider shoes that I found at become.com and I’m praying that they are still available in my size.  There are things that I want for the house as well. Check out these distressed dining room chairs that I have had my heart set on for ages.

Rubber necklace

I don’t know about you, but when I think of rubber, I think of the tires on my car. I think of rubber bands. I think of rubber pants (which shows how old I am, to remember putting rubber pants on a baby!) One thing that I do NOT expect to see made out of is jewelry. So when my niece was telling me that she has ordered a rubber necklace from an online store, I really thought she was joking. Really.

Humanitarians Visions

The current trend of vision for humanitarians is by far one of the best trends that I’ve heard of in quite some time. There seems to be a growing number of eye wear businesses that are offering all types of glasses at a more affordable price then in the past as well as donating a pair of glasses to people all over the world who can’t afford their own because of poverty limitations.

Action Plan

It was the last thing anyone in our small town wanted to happen. The news channels were filled with all the classic warnings and ominous forecasts for several days covering a large region in Texas. We knew it was time for us to plan for the worst. Living in this region, we had our supplies ready to go at all times and were searching for internet advice for the things we may not have thought of. We checked out Gexa Energy and found useful tips for preparing for power outages. The night was a long one. The emergency sirens began sending out their warning around midnight and we knew it was time to take action and put our emergency storm plan to work. With the kids and pets all cozied up for a long night, we waited it out. The thunder and the wind were so unsettling it was hard for anyone to relax. We were so grateful when the night finally came to an end. The morning light was a welcome sight and the damage from the storm was less than some of our neighboring counties. I was so glad we were prepared as well as we were and next time, we will be ready.

A Good Californian Lemon Law Attorney

It’s god to know that there are California Lemon Law attorneys out there to help people like my brother-in-law who have been taken for a chunk of change on a vehicle and have no other recourse than looking for California Lemon law lawyers for assistance. It hasn’t been a very good year for he and my kid sister and it’s only the end of February for heaven’s sake.

They have only just packed up and relocated out west when he was in a car accident that has left him unable to work, so lil sis is working and doing double duty trying to keep their heads above water. With their newly received tax refund check that they were so anxious and happy to receive, they purchased a vehicle, used but new to them, and they were thrilled. The thrill abruptly came to a halt the very next day when the card up and died right then and there in their drive way.

Long story short, lil sis Googled “Lemon Law attorneys in California” and found a good lemon law attorney.  Now let the games begin and let the best man win. And that man is married to my sis, bless his heart.
